Just in time to steam things up for Valentine’s Day, Agent Provocateur has opened it’s first stand alone boutique in Australia. The British lingerie brand marked the momentous occasion in Sydney on Wednesday evening, with notable guests April Rose Pengilly, Nicole Cooper, Yan Yan Chan and CEO Garry Hogarth enjoying champagne and chocolates upon arrival.
The stand alone Sydney boutique is the luxurious lingerie brand’s 100th store worldwide, with six other locations in Australia, which are housed within department giant David Jones around the country. At 93 square meters, the Sydney boutique will be a luxurious boudoir inspired emporium. A lavish sanctuary, it features built-in lingerie displays finished with classic baby pink and black colour ways, and grey and black lace carpets. Display fixtures are 70s inspired with materials of black bevelled glass, mirror, brass and lacquer, all adding a rich and warm art deco feel. The sales staff will wear the iconic pink house coats designed by British designer Vivienne Westwood.
Agent Provocateur, founded in 1994 by Westwood’s son Joe Corre, is the epitome of lavish and luxury undergarments which are definitely too good to stay hidden. Since launching it’s first store in downtown Soho, London, Agent Provocateur has become an iconic, globally recognized brand under the creative direction of Sarah Shotton, breaking new grounds with every collection and setting the standard in the world of lingerie. Sydney women (and men) can purchase the Main collection, Classics, Bridal, Swim, Hosiery and Accessories and be expertly fitted by one of their trained brazziere experts. Special to the boutique will be Agent Provocateur’s limited-edition Soirée collection – the brands high-end, exquisitely-finished couture line.
