Alex Perry is what we like to call ‘fashionably early’. RESCU’s resident Glamour Expert has shown an exclusive preview of his Spring/Summer 2012-13 collection at L’Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival.

Alex unveiled his ready-to-wear collection to editors, bloggers, buyers and fans ahead of his design contemporaries, who will be holding out for Mercedes-Benz Australia Fashion Week (April 30 to May 4, 2012).
Having also shown in the David Jones opening party runway presentation, Alex must be a very busy man.
But this show was undoubtedly the must-see event of the festival with Megan Gale front row and Alice Burdeau strutting the catwalk.
Rescu. were once again blown away by the exquisite craftsmanship displayed by our favourite red carpet designer.
Australia’s couture king showcased gowns in monochrome black and white, sumptuous red, blush tones and lime green. The parade was full of high-octane glamour with defined waists, figure-hugging dresses and a finale of floor-sweeping showstoppers.
Texture, in the form of beadwork, 3-D embroidery, floral appliqué, sparkly paillettes, lace and sheer overlays, added a dynamic element to the breathtaking collection.
To a soundtrack that included Rhianna, Stevie Nicks, Utah Saints, Diana Ross and Whitney Houston, the ‘Perry girls’ rocked their frocks looking very expensive indeed!
