New York Fashion Week is always the biggest event of the year and our favourite part (besides the runway shows) is spotting the stylish celebrities front row and at the after parties. One of the highlight after parties this year was without doubt the Alexander Wang party.
Alexander Wang has been going from strength to strength since his inception into the NY scene, and his fashion week party this year was a wild gathering of the hottest celebrities and fashion industry leaders.
Alexander’s party last year involved a live performance by Courtney Love, but for 2010, the designer moved into something more theatrical and entertaining- a carnival theme. From the enormous bouncing castle, to a carousel and bumper cars, Alexander Wang didn’t do things in small doses at his party, and instead opted for maximum fun and fashion.
Some of the hottest ‘it’ girls of the moment were there, including Agyness Deyn and The Hills star Kristin Cavallari. Guests on the night played with ring toss, bounced around on the jumping castle and held water gun races. Other guests included model Iris Strubegger and Sean Avery.
It was also a celebrity affair at the designers show, with actress Maggie Gyllenhaal sitting front row, near singer M.I.A and Lenny Kravitz.
