A collection that was inspired by the Byzantine era, the look for the show was all about light & texture, and with the colour combination of gold, bronze, black and red – luxe yes but also very flattering and wearable.
The Regard Signé de Chanel palette is at the centre of this collection, mirroring the Chanel suit button, each shadow is dressed in a quiltedeffect and stamped with the infamous double C.
Rescu. Loves: As a historic reference, Empress Theodora of the Roman Byzantine Empire was the muse for Philips for a highly stylised eye make-up effect in homage to a red line that she wore in the arch of her eyebrows. On and off the runway, this look in incredible.
Watch the Interview:
In an exclusive interview, Karl Lagerfeld explains how the Byzantine era influenced the collection and how the mosaic relics were mimicked through the use of colour and design.

Former fashion model and celebrity Diane Kruger attended the show and shares with us her favourite looks from the collection.
