ASTRA Awards 2013
At the Sydney Theatre in Walsh Bay last night, Aussie celebrities like Jennifer Hawkins, Megan Gale, Charlotte Dawson, and Guy Sebastian. Despite all the big Aussie names, the guest of honour for the night was True Blood’s Joe Manganiello who was brought out as a special guest of Foxtel and had his girlfriend Bridget Peters along for company.
The gorgeous Megan Gale wore a stunning pale pink Alex Perry gown. Alex was also in attendance for the event to represent Australia’s Next Top Model and said of the dress (which he whipped up in two days), “It is not hard, you could wrap Megan Gale up in a plastic bag and she would look amazing. It is the ultimate job dressing her.”
But the dress that caused the most talk was on the back of the stunning newlywed Jennifer Hawkins whose low cut bustier white Galanni dress that included a sheer panel that, when viewed from a distance, seemed a lot more revealing than it really was. We love the daring frock and J-Hawks Givenchy clutch – married life clearly suits her!
Selling Houses Australia was the big winner of the night, taking home favourite Australian program and both favourite female and male personalities going to its stars Shaynna Blaze and Andrew Winter.
Game of Thrones won favourite international drama and Tangle took out the Australian drama category.
Bill Collins, better known as ‘Mr Movies’ was honoured with the inaugural ASTRA Lifetime Achievement Award.
Prince Harry on Being an Uncle
Prince Harry was as charming and witty when he stepped out to open an exhibition put on by his charity Sentebale yesterday. The Prince spoke to reporters outside the event and spoke about his new nephew saying, “When I saw him he was crying his eyes out like all babies do I suppose – it’s fantastic to have another addition to the family. I only hope my brother knows how expensive my babysitting charges are.”
The 28-year-old Prince, who met the royal baby at Kensington Palace on Wednesday before Kate, Wills, and little George headed to Buckleberry, said his mission as an uncle was, “To make sure he has a good upbringing, and keep him out of harm’s way and to make sure he has fun. The rest I’ll leave to the parents”
If anyone’s up for the ‘having fun’ part of the job, it’s Prince Harry!
What will Kate Middleton will wear to Prince George’s christening?

It is said Portman will not only direct, but has already written the screenplay and will play Oz’s mother in the film.
