The New Australian Victoria’s Secret Model: Kelly Gale
The rumours have been building that a new Aussie face is replacing Miranda Kerr in the Victoria’s Secret register.
Her name’s Kelly Gale, and the evidence suggests that she’s about to make her VS debut.
Vogue Australia is certainly on the bandwagon: they put together an exclusive slideshow of her past career, which includes shoots for Vogue India and a spot in the Chanel pre-fall 2012 show.
So what’s the evidence? She’s in New York with other Aussie Victoria’s Secret model Jess Hart; she’s currently training with the VS trainer; and she’s previously given interviews hinting that it might be in the future.
She’s half-Indian and half-Australian, and stands at 177cm.
Do you think more Aussie flavour on the Victoria’s Secret catwalk is a good thing?

Lady Gaga Goes Into Space With Her Label Launch Fashion
Lady Gaga has decided to take her fashion airborne.
At the launch of her new album ARTPOP, she wore what was described as ‘the world’s first flying dress’.
Called Volantis, it’s technically more of a hover vehicle than a plane – but it took two years to design and construct.
With six booms in formation above a pedestal on which the passenger stands to ‘wear’ the dress, it’s battery operated and must weigh in the region of a ton.
To cover the user’s modesty, a white mould in the shape of a classical woman’s torso is strapped onto their body.
Designed and built by TechHaus, the design wing of Gaga’s Haus Of Gaga art empire, the whole flying dress has been teased for weeks on her Twitter. Blueprints of the whole frame and construction have already been revealed.
How it’s controlled, and how Gaga avoided taking off hats and wigs in the crowd at her ARTPOP party, is still unclear.
What do you think – space-age fashion or just plain kooky?
