Miranda Kerr and Montana Cox make waves at Paris Fashion Week and the Australian cast of Legally Blonde – The Musical have been announced with Erica Heynatz, Rob Mills and Lucy Durack on the bill.
Despite the actors having known since last May, the award-winning Legally Blonde: The Musical, Australian cast has just been announced to the public.
Lucy Durack, who made herself famous among theatre fans when she took on the role of Glinda in Wicked, has been cast as Elle Woods, the sorority sister-turned-Harvard law student made famous by Reese Witherspoon in the 2001 film. Joining Lucy will be her Wicked castmate Rob Mills as Warner Huntington III, Erika Heynatz as accused exercise queen Brooke Wyndham, David Harris as Emmett, and Cameron Daddo as Professor Callahan.
Erica Heynatz in her musical theatre debut, the fashion model and original host of Australia’s Next Top Model says the role of Brooke Wyndham helps her blend her love of fitness and musical theatre.
“Erika Heynatz blew us away in her audition,” said producer John Frost. “I love finding talent in unexpected places and I know she is going to make a wonderful Brooke.
“And I’m overjoyed to be working with Cameron Daddo again after giving him his musical theatre break so long ago in Big River. This is the perfect role to bring him from LA where he has been so successful, and back to the Australian stage.”
The actors have had to keep their casting news since May last year, but are now in the middle of intense rehearsals ahead of the production’s Oct. 4 opening night at the Sydney Lyric Theatre.
Miranda Kerr recently arrived in Paris days ago with hubby Orlando Bloom and baby Flynn and has now hit the runway for the Chanel Autumn/Winter 2012. Miranda looked every bit the high-fashion model as she sashayed down the runway in a colourfully embellished coat and with jewel-encrusted eyebrows to match. A throng of celebrities turned out to see Karl Lagerfeld’s latest creations including Alicia Keys and Katy Perry, continuing to sport her bright blue tresses. The pair were together the night before as well for the Yves Saint Laurent presentation.
Miranda has been a regular feature on the Paris catwalks. Last October, she walked in a number of shows, including Dior, Viktor & Rolf, Loewe and Stella McCartney. During March of 2011, shortly after she welcomed son Flynn, Miranda modelled for Balenciaga. Miranda was also hard at work in the US last week. Miranda wore a bikini to shoot her latest Victoria’s Secret project in Miami.
Last year’s Australia’s Next Top Model winner, Montana Cox, has hit the big time by walking some of the most exciting shows at Paris Fashion Week so far!
