Australia’s Next Top Model Choking Scandal
Yesterday we reported that an Australia’s Next Top Model hopeful was to be kicked of the show due to an unspecified incident. Lastnight the reason for the booting was revealed, and boy, it’s serious!
Contestant Taylah Roberts was booted off the show for choking fellow runway wannabe Ashley Pogmore. The altercation arose during an art challenge, when Ashley started throwing paint around- and some landed on Taylah’s top, causing her to retaliate, “I’m gonna strangle you.” Footage then shows Taylah placing her hands around Ashley’s neck.
“”It was getting really tight and I could just feel my neck hurting and I could feel my face going red,” Ashley told A Current Affair.
Host Jennifer Hawkins has spoken out about the incident, saying, “Some people might think it is really bad, it depends on people’s perception of it but Foxtel doesn’t tolerate it in any way, shape or form so I had to be the one to give them the news. I didn’t like being in the middle.”
Taylah seems remorseful about the incident, sharing with A Current Affair that she has had a peace sign tattooed on her hand, “to make me realise I’m at peace with it now.”
Both girls seem to have moved past the altercation, telling A Current Affair that they both hope it doesn’t affect Taylah’s future modelling career.

Jennifer Lawrence Has A Meltdown
In a revealing interview for the cover of American Vogue’s September Issue, Jennifer Lawrence has admitted that she’s not dealing well with her catapult into the A-List.
“I’m just really starting to feel like a monkey in a zoo. I teeter on seeming ungrateful when I talk about this, but I’m kind of going through a meltdown about it lately,” she told the magazine.
The Hunger Games star goes on to disclose that her speedy rise to the top has left her feeling emotional, and turned her into a bit of a homebody.
“If I were just your average 23-year-old girl and I called the police to say that there were strange men sleeping on my lawn and following me to Starbucks, they would leap into action,” she pointed out, continuing that dealing with her fame is never going to be her “new normal.”
Ironically, Jennifer revealed in the same interview that she’s known since a young age that she was going to be a star, “I always knew that I was going to be famous. I honest to God don’t know how else to describe it. I used to lie in bed and wonder: ‘Am I going to be a local TV person? Am I going to be a motivational speaker?’ It wasn’t a vision. But as it’s kind of happening, you have this buried understanding: of course.”
Jennifer’s refreshingly honest approach to fame is a refreshing change from the smoke and mirrors usually associated with Hollywood starlets.
Teresa Palmer is Pregnant
Australian actress Teresa Palmer has confirmed that she is pregnant with her first child!
Teresa’s rep confirmed to US Weekly that the Warm Bodies star and her fiance Mark Webber are expecting, after announcing their engagement just weeks ago.
“Teresa is expecting. She and Mark are over the moon excited and can’t wait to add to their family,” her rep told US Weekly.
The mother-to-be herself posted a picture of the ultrasound and tiny baby booties on Instagram, with the caption “This is where my heart is. To my precious baby- I’m so blessed to be your mama, we have been wishing for you for awhile. We love you so much and can’t wait to kiss your little face and tiny toes. Thank you for hearing our prayers.”
This will be Mark’s second child, he already has a two-year old son with actress Frankie Shaw.
The couple met when Teresa conducted a good old-fashion Twitter stalk on Mark after seeing the trailer for his film ‘End of Love’ and thinking he was cute- we love a good online dating story!
