It’s all about your base…
Firstly, as you will be using a very sheer base, it is important to conceal any imperfections before you start.
Brighten up any dark circles under the eyes. My fave magic wand for this is always YSL touch eclat. And you should cover any blemishes, spots or discoloration with your favourite concealer. Mine being the Bobbi Brown pro-concealer palette. Always make sure you choose your colour to match perfectly and blend so that you can not see where it starts or finishes.
Next comes the magic cocktail…
Take your usual liquid foundation, a light moisturiser and a shimmering liquid (I find the best one for this is Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector) and mix them in equal parts. The moisturiser will make the foundation sheer to give the transparent effect required for this look.
Top Tip: Don’t rub this concoction into the skin! Rather, use sparingly and dab the product over the skin.
Also, avoid powering this look as much as possible. Use blotting papers to remove any excess oil. And if necessary, mix Laura Mercier’s Loose shimmer powder with a touch of her Translucent powder for setting.
Then, finish off with a touch of mascara and nothing else…
