As Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia wound to a close, the beauty looks from day five had us as wound up as ever, yearning for more! Check out the best beauty looks from the last day of MBFWA.
In Suboo’s debut show at MBFWA, held at the The Summit on George Street with 360 degree panoramic views of the city of Sydney, the look the theme was ‘A Place in the Sun’.
The look created by Liz Kelsh for MAX Factor was Modern minimalism, combining neon with a wet look for a futuristic twist. “It was important for the Suboo 12/13 collection that, although there was a lot of swimwear in the collection we steered away from a look that was too beachy. We wanted to create a clean, modern aspirational look that complimented the clothes and portrayed the lifestyle they represent. We used neon on the eyelids and applied lip-gloss to the eyelids, lips and cheeks to give a wet, futuristic finish to the skin” she said.
Akira Isogawa produced a jaw dropping, static collection at The Box. For Akira’s signature graphic style the makeup and hair let the clothes do the talking as an understated sleek up do and a splash of colour on the lips was combined with luminous, glowing skin.
John Pulitano for Redken discusses the hair look below.
