In keeping with the collection title ‘Smoke Without Fire’, last night Bec & Bridge transformed the Cargo Hall of Sydney’s Overseas Passenger Terminal into a haze of thick white smoke.
However the young breakthrough label, which has quickly managed to garner an impressive cult-like following, proved they are not all smoke and mirrors, unveiling a strong yet feminine, diverse and very wearable collection.
Models sauntered through the smokey haze in a sea of soft, fluid silhouettes awash in neutral tones such as bone, grey and ash, punctuated by pretty pastel hues in blush and sea foam.
Twisting and draping detailing features on relaxed and body-con shapes, while unstructured blazers, and oversized hooded khaki jackets toughened up the overall look.
Bec & Bridge continued to peak our interest throughout the show by switching from soft, feminine silhouettes in muted hues to fully sequinned spaghetti strap dresses with both floor-length and mini hemlines.
KMS California complimented the bleached-out-theme, by pulling back the models’ blonde hair into textured effortless ponytails, finished of with a dusting of talcum powder. MAC kept make-up muted yet dewy with concealed brows and pale lips, finishing off the ethereal look with their signature MAC Strobe Cream.
Styled by Michel Jank, Dinosaur Designs finished off the look by adding oversized beaten-bone necklaces, adding to the overall organic aesthetic of the collection.
We expected big things from this little label, and we are pleased to say that their Spring/Summer collection surely whet our appetite, and left us longing for the warmer months ahead.
