Use this ritual anytime that you are struggling with a family member or have had a falling out with someone in your family and your feeling at a loss as to how to handle it.
Keep in mind that for healing to occur we have to be willing to accept that we are all responsible for playing a part in the issue, it isn’t about right or wrong, its about keeping an open heart and mind so that we can move forward positively.
You will need :
A white or green candle
A piece of paper
A bowl of purified water with salt in it
Best done in a quiet place where you won’t be interrupted. Light your candle and clear your mind. focus on the issue/ person that you need healing with or around.
Write down on the piece of paper all the issues/ problems about the situation. Get it all off your chest, whether your angry, sad, disappointed, resentful, whatever needs to come out, now is the time.
Then when you have completed this, fold the paper up and submerge it in the bowl of water/salt. As you do this visualize the person/situation as being healed and cleansed, let go of any negative emotions you have been carrying and ask that from this point forward this situation is healed for all involved.
I like to imagine a gold light around the person/ issue that I’m working with and myself, but do what feels right for you. Take the bowl of water outside, pour the water onto the earth, and throw the paper away.
( I also like to wash my hands after doing these rituals, adds to the letting go/ releasing aspect)
