The 2015 Billboard Music Awards may as well have been re-named the Taylor Swift appreciation night. Not only did the star absolutely clean up, scoring pretty much all the major awards she could have, she has also managed to dominate the red carpet and the post-show gossip.
First of all, the star’s is-it-isn’t-it romance with Calvin Harris was well and truly confirmed as on during the show thanks in part to whoever the seating chart guru is who sat the pair together. During the show, Calvin, 31, was spotted tucking one arm behind Taylor and when she was announced as the winner of the Top 200 Album for 1989, T-Swift leaned in for a kiss with her rumoured boyfriend.
In addition, after a steady Insta-feed of teasers from stars like Cara Delevingne, Jamie King, Gigi Hadid, Karlie Kloss and, of course, Taylor herself, the Bad Blood film clip has finally debuted. The track is a collaboration with Kendrick Lamar and the clip stars Swift’s all-star cast of BFFs including Lily Aldridge, Hailee Steinfeld, Gigi Hadid, Ellie Goulding, Jessica Alba, Cindy Crawford, Ellen Pompeo, Martha Hunt, and more.
Thankfully for Tay-tay, the much-hyped clip lived up to the sky-high expectations of her fans. The action-packed, Tarantino-esque clip directed by Joseph Kahn (the same man who directed Swift’s Blank Space video), is simply epic and beyond the levels of a mere music clip. Really, rather than us explaining, just watch Taylor Swift Bad Blood clip below…
Swift’s clean up aside, Sam Smith proved a favourite at the Billboard Awards as did, of course, One Direction. Meaghan Trainer also scored a couple of gongs and Iggy Azalea got a few mentions too. See the full list of winners below.
