Original and utterly unforgettable, The Language Of Flowers is a debut novel about the meaning of flowers and the meaning of family. It is set to be the fiction sensation of 2011.
The plot:
Victoria Jones was abandoned as a baby. After a childhood spent in the foster care system, she is obsessed with flowers and their meanings (for instance: yellow roses represent infidelity).
Soon after her 18th birthday, Victoria becomes homeless. She sleeps in a public park, where she plants a small garden of her own. After her talent is discovered by a local florist, her life begins to change and she reflects on past betrayals. She also falls in love with a mysterious flower vendor, but she finds it difficult to forget her past.
This book includes a mini flower dictionary, which reveals the meanings of flowers.
