Louis Vuitton CEO Yves Carcelle invited the stunning Cate Blanchett to officially open the hugely anticipated George Street Maison store on Friday night and, naturally, the Aussie star obliged. Wearing a white Louis Vuitton high-necked Laser Cut Tulle dress with Louis Vuitton Merry Go Round heels, the Oscar winner helped cut the ribbon to the beautiful new store with Carcelle, Oceania CEO Philip Come and Asia Pacific president Jean-Baptiste Cordon by her side. After the ribbon was cut Cate joined Australia’s fashion elite at the official after party. Miranda Kerr was in attendance wearing a very cute LV Mad Men – esque dress that seriously showed off those post-baby breasts. With her hair pulled back in a ponytail and bright red lipstick, the Victoria’s Secret model charmed guests and said she was looking forward to seeing hubby Orlando Bloom who she hasn’t seen for three weeks. Rolling Stone rocker Ronnie Wood and his daughter Leah showed up to celebrate the opening along with the Aussie glamour set including Lara Bingle, Delta Goodrem, Jessica Gomes and Isabel Lucas. The store is the only 13th of its type in the world and the very first for the Asia-Pacific region. It offers made-to-order shoes and belts for men and personalised handbags for women. Former Neighbours girl and now X-Factor host Natalie Bassingthwaighte walked down the aisle last night in front of around 100 family and friends. including her 16-month-old daughter Harper. The Aussie star held her nuptials at the Stokehouse restaurant in St Kilda and told reporters as she entered, “I am feeling kind of nervous but in a really joyous way, [I] am very emotional.” Melbourne design J’Aton was responsible for the gown which was a traditional white dress decorated with white fabric flowers. Bassingthwaite, 36, and her partner musician Cameron McGlinchy have been dating since 2006.
