Glynis Traill-Nash reveals four celebrity outfits that caught her eye this month. We loved her celeb-spotting last month, so we can’t wait to see what’s on her style radar.
1. Emma Watson
World premiere Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part I, London, Nov. 11, 2010
The 20-year-old actress has truly hit her Louboutin-clad stride. This look is so on the money for a young star on the rise—this short and sassy Rafael Lopez dress has it all, feathers and lace, very on trend. And she was wise to keep accessories to a minimum when a dress has this much going on. It’s great, too, that with her pixie cut she’s still keeping a fairly clean make-up look. Simple drop earrings and a platform pump are the only finishing touches she needs—along with a Remembrance Day poppy.
2. Clémence Poésy

World premiere Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part I, London Nov. 11, 2010
Same premiere, same fabric—totally different approach. Clémence has taken the lace theme and run backwards on the timeline in Chanel Haute Couture. This is an adorable ensemble, the boxy book clutch is enough of a clash with such an old-world silhouette to be just the right side of jarring, and the rosette detail over lace makes what could have been an older look young and fresh. Again, simple hair and make-up don’t overwhelm her beautiful features. C’est magnifique!
3. Alba Rohrwacher

Cinema Italian Style 2010 Film Festival Opening Night, Los Angeles, Nov. 9, 2010
You want colour—Alba will give you colour! The I Am Love actress makes a bold move in a very difficult colour and pulls it off with aplomb. Such an unbroken wash of colour could be overkill on many, but the gently ruffled details break it up in a softly, softly approach. The messy ’do and strong lip give the whole look a laissez-faire air, and while the shoes are a little at odds stylistically, at least they don’t detract from the colour of the dress.
4. Monica Bellucci

“Monica Bellucci” Photographic Book Presentation, Rome, Nov. 6, 2010
Here’s a lesson in wardrobe classics: every woman should own a tuxedo. There is nothing as strong, simple or sexy as a well-tailored black tux. Have it cut to your shape—Bellucci has gone with a wide-leg trouser to balance her curves. The lace camisole peeking out adds a little bit of sensual interest without giving too much away. And the sunglasses are the full stop in chic.
