Once again, Teresa shows off her fashion-forward credentials, this time in a dove grey brocade dress with organza ruffle from Ellery’s next autumn/winter collection. The short style manages to avoid frou-frou, despite the ruffle detail, instead looking fresh and fun. The Perspex-heel booties add a modern edge, while the clean make-up and simple hair leave the dress front and centre. A winner!

17th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards Nominations, Los Angeles, December 16
Angie Harmon works this seaon’s ladylike look perfectly—this Carolina Herrera dress manages to be both modern in colour and finish (pink and red colour blocking plus a clash of chunky lace texture) and retro in detail (the simple bow and the floral motif). There is enough going on with the dress that she was right to keep the hair and makeup carefree and pared back. All that’s required as finishing points are a simple pump (check) and bracelet (check).

British Fashion Awards 2010, London, December 7
This is minimalism at work—and Lara has nailed one of the season’s hottest trends perfectly. Just take one simple white Calvin Klein shift dress and add a boxy black clutch and killer heels. All that’s left is to work a great make-up look—smoky eyes and a solid lip are right on the money here—and loosely pulled-back hair. Perfection.

A festive colour for the festive season! This year’s favourite fashionista makes another bold move in this Prabal Gurung dress. The solid colour is softened up with the drape detailing on the bodice, and the cut is flattering to her petite frame. Carey once again makes good use of accessories to break up the wash of colour, the embellished Roger Vivier clutch is a perfect foil here and the black peep-toe pumps ground the look. Top it all off with an extra blonde pixie cut and this is chic personified.
