Karl Lagerfeld was in Tokyo to officially launch the exhibition accompanying the house’s latest title ‘The Little Black Jacket: CHANEL’s classic revisited by Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld’.
The upcoming tome and the current exhibition celebrate Chanel’s iconic little black jacket and its many illustrious wearers.
Flowing over two levels in the G-building in Aoyama, the exhibition features 113 prints of celebrities and personalities bedecked in the timeless Chanel jacket. The prints are a selection from the photographic book, which will be available later this year.
Joining Lagerfeld and Roitfeld at the opening were Chanel ambassadors and campaign stars Vanessa Paradis and Alice Dellal, models Saskia de Brauw, Stella Tenant and Lily Donaldson, as well as actresses Sarah Jessica Parker, Clémence Poésy and Astrid Bergès-Frisbey, all sporting Chanel, naturally.
If you are lucky enough to be in Tokyo, the exhibition runs from March 24 until April 15.
