Cosmedicon 2026: Regeneration, Korean Technology and the New Era of Aesthetics

Insider Access – Cosmedicon 2026

Regeneration, Korean Technology and a New Era of Aesthetics

Cosmedicon 2026 made one thing very clear. Aesthetics is expanding. We are no longer just talking about the face. The conversation now runs head to toe, inside and out, reflecting the broader shift happening across wellness and longevity. Patients are increasingly seeking treatments that support tissue health, regeneration and skin quality across the whole body.

Walking through the conference halls, two themes appeared repeatedly: regenerative medicine and the growing influence of Korean aesthetic technology. The industry is moving towards treatments designed to support the body’s own repair processes, supported by increasingly advanced diagnostic tools that allow practitioners to deliver more personalised treatment plans.

It’s a three day event and there is a LOT to cover, but these are the technologies and innovations that stood out.

XERF

One of the biggest talking points of the conference. XERF is a non-invasive skin-tightening device that uses multifrequency monopolar radiofrequency energy to gently heat multiple layers of the skin. This controlled heating stimulates collagen remodelling and helps improve skin firmness over time. The technology allows practitioners to treat both superficial and deeper structural layers in a single treatment, positioning it as a next-generation evolution of radiofrequency skin-tightening devices. You’ve likely heard the buzz on this technology, recently given Kim Kardashian sprinkle of gold dust, as her go to treatment for a contoured and lifted face. More to come on this innovation as I will be trialing XERF in the coming weeks.

Sunekos

Sunekos is a skin-quality skin booster that combines hyaluronic acid with a patented amino acid complex. Rather than adding volume, the treatment is designed to support the skin’s natural production of collagen and elastin. It is often used in delicate areas such as the under-eye where improving skin texture and elasticity is the primary goal. Sunekos is the latest skin booster to launch in Australia but has been a go to treatment getting plenty of Tik Tok attention in the UK and New Zealand.

Rejuran Professional Care Program

The Salmon DNA skin booster leaders have launched their Professional Care Program. Developed in Korea, Rejuran treatments are centred around PDRN (polydeoxyribonucleotide), fragments of DNA derived from optimised salmon dna technology. In aesthetic medicine PDRN is used to support tissue repair processes and improve skin quality. The Professional Care line moves into post treatment care with a series of skincare and non injectable boosters to prolong and enhance the benefits of their treatments. After my trip to South Korea to visit the Rejuran Headquarters and learn more about their innovations and clinical applications, I was excited to see their expansion into professional care here in Australia.

Emcyte Mononuclear Cell-Rich PRP

Regenerative medicine was a strong focus at Cosmedicon this year, and Emcyte’s mononuclear cell-rich PRP system reflects how platelet-rich plasma treatments are evolving.

PRP has been used in aesthetic medicine for many years. It involves drawing a small amount of a patient’s own blood, processing it to concentrate the platelets, and then reintroducing that preparation into the skin. Platelets contain growth factors that play a role in tissue repair and healing responses.

Emcyte’s system is designed to go further than traditional PRP by concentrating not only platelets but also mononuclear cells, which include important immune and regenerative cells found in the bloodstream. These cells are part of the body’s natural repair mechanisms and are thought to play a role in signalling tissue regeneration.

In clinical settings, these preparations are used in a variety of regenerative applications including skin rejuvenation, hair restoration and other procedures where supporting tissue repair is part of the treatment goal. Last year, I treated my lower back pain and disc degeneration with a Emcyte treatment following my Whole Body MRI. It had a remarkable impact on the pain. The growing interest in technologies like this reflects the broader shift in aesthetics toward biological regeneration using the patient’s own cells and growth factors.

Idenel Glassifier

KBeauty is wild about spicules and exomomes and this professional Korean skin treatment generated a lot of buzz at the conference. Idenel uses microscopic spicules, needle-like structures that help deliver active ingredients into the skin, including exosomes, an emerging area of regenerative aesthetics being explored for their role in cellular communication.

I had the opportunity to try the treatment during the event for skin pluming, brightening and collagen boosting. I found it remarkably comfortable for a spicule-based procedure- mild tingling and mild redness. My skin had an immediate luminosity overnight, which explains the “glassifier” name and its connection to the Korean glass skin aesthetic.

EVE MUSE Skin Diagnostic Technology

Another innovation from South Korea is the next-generation skin diagnostic system designed to bring a more precise and data-led approach to aesthetic consultations.

Using advanced imaging and analysis technology, the device evaluates multiple skin parameters including pigmentation, pores, hydration levels, texture and overall skin condition. The software then translates this data into visual maps and reports that help practitioners better understand the underlying characteristics of a patient’s skin.

Tools like this represent an important step toward precision aesthetics, where treatment plans are guided by measurable skin data rather than visual assessment alone. For clinics, this can support more personalised consultations and clearer treatment planning, while also helping patients better understand their skin and track changes over time.

Clinic at Home Innovations

CO2Lift V Carboxytherapy Gel Treatment

A notable development in intimate rejuvenation, this topical carboxytherapy gel releases carbon dioxide, which increases oxygen delivery and circulation in tissue through the Bohr effect. The treatment is designed specifically for the vulva area and is used to support hydration, elasticity and tissue comfort (internally). Its presence at the conference reflects the growing interest in intimate wellness and full-body rejuvenation as aesthetics increasingly intersects with broader conversations around women’s health and longevity. For intimate rejuvenation, this treatment offers privacy and a non hormonal option.

Medik8 Niacinamide Peptides Serum

Medik8 introduced a formulation combining niacinamide, peptides, and N-acetyl glucosamine (NAG). Niacinamide is widely used in skincare to support the skin barrier and improve the appearance of uneven tone. NAG works with niacinamide in many formulations and is often included to support hydration and skin clarity, while peptides are used to support the appearance of firmness. I recently added this serum to my line up after experiencing skin sensitivity and breakouts post prescription medication. The results were impressive with my skin returning to normal within hours and the breakout disappearing overnight. This serum is also effective for adult and teen acne.

Knesko Skin Gold Repair Masks

These luxury bio-cellulose sheet masks are infused with ingredients such as gold, peptides and botanical extracts. A celebrity and spa staple, the masks are designed to hydrate and calm the skin while supporting the appearance of radiance post treatment.

A New Era

The innovations showcased at Cosmedicon 2026 point towards a clear direction for the future of aesthetic medicine. The industry is moving beyond quick fixes and towards approaches that prioritise regeneration, diagnostics and overall skin health. And once again, Korean innovation and social media amplification outside the doctor’s office, appears to be setting the pace. This year’s conference also marked the end of an era. Industry stalwarts Michelle Kearney and Bill Dunk handed the baton after nine remarkable years to the new owners, Primer Creative Media. Aimee Rodrigues, Editor and Conference Convener of Aesthetic Medical Practitioner, welcomed the community of doctors, nurses, clinic owners and industry experts to the three-day program held at the InterContinental Hotel Double Bay. The boutique gathering has become an important fixture in the calendar, setting the tone for the year ahead in aesthetic medicine.
