MAC Make-up director Gordon Espinet said of the look, “This is a makeup that starts off with a totally pretty base and then we go nuts with colour on it! The final result is more like an impressionist painting.”
To create this flawless canvas, Strobe Liquid was used all of the face to create hyper luminosity. Studio Sculpt concealer disguised any imperfections and So Sweet, So Easy Cremeblush was applied to the apples of the cheeks.
Eyes were covered with the to-be-released LiteBrite Cremeshadow applied as a sheer wash with a little more attention on the lash line. Fascinating Eye Kohl was applied to the water lines and Carbon Black Opulash (available 2011) was combed through the lashes. Clear Brow Set was then used to keep models’ brows even and set.
A bright red lip was created with Dive Lipstick softly applied as a base and Ruby Woo Lipstick used in the centre of the lips.
The random colour highlights on the face were fashioned with MAC Pro Paintsticks which were mixed to create Lilac, Pastel Blue or Pastel Lime.
