It’s only just occurred to us that Australa Day falls on a Sunday this year. Meaning we get a long weekend on the last Sunday of this glorious January! Even though we’re back at work, we’re all about those little moments of Summer bliss we sneak in. This weekend, we’re shopping the Dion Lee Resort sale, embracing the ‘90s logomania in DKNY x Opening Ceremony, shopping the edit of our favourite Australian brands, and indulging in some high impact street wear with PUMA x ASOS.

Dion Lee Resort Sale
Holographic ocean-inspired prints? Check. Swimwear-inspired fabrics and zippers? Yep. Laser cut detailing? Sexy mini peplums? Uh huh honey.
Dion Lee’s Oil + Water brought high luxe tailoring and immaculate craftsmanship to the easy, breezy universe of carefree resort wear. There was a chance these elements might have combined together as well (or badly) as oil and water, but as we’ve come to expect from Dion Lee’s creations, the pieces feel effortless. Slick wet look fabrics are rendered in feminine silhouettes and white hot separates are pulled together in clever folds with sensuous sheer drapery. Dion Lee’s sale this week sees this collection reduced by 20-50% both instore and online. There’s still time to make a statement this Summer with Dion Lee’s ‘resort wear for grown ups;’ as appropriate at an inner city function as a beachside cocktail bar.

DKNY x Opening Ceremony at Tuchuzy
One of Sydney’s enduring classics, Tuchuzy boutique has been bringing us unique international brands, and emerging Australian labels for 18 years. With it’s captivating window displays and proximity to Bondi beach, it’s always a breath of fresh (and occasionally salty air). This week, the store announced the arrival of a capsule collection created through the collaboration between eponymous New York label DKNY and uber-cool retailer Opening Ceremony.
The limited edition capsule collection recreates classic pieces from the 1991-4 collections, with a modern twist, featuring logo- filled sportswear (right on trend), knits, tanks and a wonderfully ‘90s turtle neck maxi dress.
Embrace the ‘90s resurgence wholeheartedly and pair it with your sneaker of choice.

Australian Summer Shopping: Part 1
In preparation for Australia Day, this week and next we’re curating looks from some of our favourite Australian brands. This week, we’ve picked swim wear classic Seafolly and Sydney-based duo Camilla and Marc.
Rescu. Loves: You can’t go past Seafolly for vibrant, relaxed pieces that combine nicely with basics, or stand out as statement items on their own. The limited edition collection is full of paintbox bursts in maxi dresses and playsuits, along with delicious tropical prints and classic black bikinis and full pieces. We also love the extensive range of directional accessories on offer this season, from cute straw fedoras and sweetly coloured woven beach bags and clutches, to an impressive array of sunglasses, including a particularly attractive selection of on-trend round frames in pastels hues.

ASOS x PUMA Collaboration
After the exciting announcement in November that Solange Knowles would join PUMA as an art director and creative consultant, the street wear label has now revealed another collaboration; their first ever woman’s collection, which launched at ASOS this week. After two previous collaborations, it was high time that PUMA brought out something for the ladies and the collection certainly doesn’t disappoint.
What to expect: In line with the ‘90s inspired logomania trend that has become a major look in the past few seasons, the range features a whole lot of urban graffiti and check prints, in bold, graphic colours, metallic and exaggerated shapes. If this collection were a movie it would be about a fresh-faced uptown girl who falls in love with the leader of a motorcycle gang from the wrong side of the tracks.
And of course stamped across dresses, sweatshirts and sportswear is the PUMA logo. After high profile collaborations with the likes of Alexander McQueen and Mihara Yasuhiro in the past, we’re happy to see the label creating high impact looks for the ASOS shopper too. Sure to make a statement, we’re picturing these pieces together with luxe basics for a chic sportswear look.
