The burlesque pin-up made her runway debut in the lingerie collection she has designed for the retailer.
The range of 26 items has a Fifties feel in homage to Dita’s personal archive of vintage lingerie.
“I wanted to design pieces that are tributes to my vintage obsessions, to make them beautiful and functional, while modernising them for everyday wear”, the iconic star has said.
Styles include balconette bras, bustiers, corsettes, G-strings and full briefs as well as raunchier items such as whips, garters and suspenders.
The fabrics ooze pure sensuality, from leopard print, black lace and leather to satin, velvet and polka dot mesh.
The dancer-come-designer showcased a palette of nude, black, red with accents of sky blue.
Dita flaunted her playfully sexy design aesthetic with details such as lace elbow-length gloves, feathered and beaded capes, lacy eye-covering veils and embroidered masks.
Some models even sported quirky headpieces, such as a giant pom pom and tilted red velvet top hat, as well as chandelier earrings and statement necklaces.
The make-up mirrored Dita’s personal style of feline eyeliner, voluminous eyelashes, grey-blue eye shadow and pouty red lips. Hair was pulled up high into exaggerated buns that fell over the forehead.
The parade brought the crowd to a standing ovation, no doubt as much for the curvaceous models and Dita’s own enviable hourglass physique as for the tasteful designs that will inject a little sexy into any woman’s lingerie drawer.
