We spoke to talented nail artist Aubrey from Quirky Nails for her top tips on creating an incredible animal print nail look from home.
Five Simple Steps for the Perfect Leopard Manicure
Step One: Prep nails by removing any polish and filing to your desired shape. Apply a cuticle softening cream and push back cuticles to create the perfect canvas for your art.
Step Two: Apply two coats on gold nail polish to nails, coating completely.
Rescu. Recommends: OPI Euro Centrale Collection in ‘Oy-Another Polish Joke!’ ($19.95), shimmering gold. This glittery polish is long lasting and the perfect shade for a leopard print. Available in leading beauty salons and David Jones stores Australia wide.
Step Three: Apply brown polish to nails in spots. There is no need to worry if the spots you create are uneven, in fact, the more irregular the better, every leopard’s print is unique!
Step Four: Roughly outline brown spots with black using a thin nail art brush. Create loose semi circles around the brown spots and add some small black spots for detail, as pictured left.

Step Five: Apply a top coat to the nails to protect your fabulous nail art and to create a high shine finish.
