The Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson has reportedly run up debts owing as much as $6.8 million, according to sources close to the star.
Last week the 50 year old hit the tabloid headlines after she was exposed attempting to sell access to her ex-husband Princess Andrew for $850,000.
News of the World secretly filmed Fergie at a meeting with an undercover reporter, accepting $46,000 as a down payment to set up lucrative deals with Prince Andrew, completely unbeknownst to him.
In the scandalous video, Fergie is heard claiming she “didn’t have a pot to piss in”.
As Fergie flew back to Britain to confront her ex husband Prince Andrew for the first time since the scandal broke, details of the couple’s original divorce settlement emerged, suggesting that Fergie had actually fared quite financially following the split being awarded over $5 million dollars.
A senior courtier said: “The Duchess was treated extremely generously, and has behaved appallingly.”
Oh Fergie, what a royal mess you’ve gotten yourself into!
