I’m a Joh Bailey girl from way back. In fact, I’ve been getting my hair professionally styled and blow dried weekly for the past 21 years. Can you believe it? This habit (nah, addiction) is hard to break but there comes a time when every high maintenance girl needs to swap her glam squad for a little DIY. Over the years, I’ve found myself in some pretty frizzy situations so believe me when I say I tune in when a new and ground breaking DIY hair tool is launched. This week, I’m sharing a few of my new favourites for when Mr Bailey can’t join our next family holiday in Miami.

Get the Look: Blake Lively’s Bombshell Curls in Five Steps
Remington hair expert and award winning session stylist, Sarah Laidlaw shows us how it’s done.
1. Start by creating a low side part on completely dry hair, around in line with the end of your eyebrow
2. Begin with hair below the part and take sections about 1-2 inches wide, parallel to the part line
3. Secure the end of the section into the spring action clip and wind right up to the roots – hold for 10-15 seconds. Clip each section up into the curl as you finish, allowing it to cool
4. Continue around the entire head and make sure to curl in the same direction. Note: Across the top of the head, don’t curl all the way to the roots
5. When finished, loosen with your finger and brush through. Fix any loose hairs around your face with hairspray.
RRP: $53.95 from leading electrical retailers
