From the Material Girl to a supermodel and her lipstick, my new at home must-have and a skin protecting beauty secret, find out what’s on my radar this week.

Short from adorning our every office nook and cranny with a sumptuous scented candle, it’s safe to say I’m quickly becoming a candle hoarder finding a soothing fragrance for every occasion and frankly saving on your electricity bill has never been sweeter. This week I’m all about the Circa Home’s 1973 Rockmelon Soy Candle range featuring the Rockmelon Classic Candle and Perfect Spaces Candle. Run a bath, switch off the lights and invest in some serious ‘me time’ or ‘us time’ with this sweet and subtle fragrance that blends notes of mint, dragonfruit and white amber with the sweet nostalgia of the 70s. Aside from their aromatherapy they look simply stunning with your French provincial décor or next to bunch a peonies.
RRP: $29.95, $19.95 The Rockmelon Candle comes in a special-edition box.
She may have cancelled her concert on our shores, but that won’t stop my devotion to the one and only Material Girl and yes, that includes the next installment of her fragrance line, Naked by Madonna. As soon as that statement amber gold and white logo hit my desk I knew we had a star on our hands and it didn’t disappoint. It’s quintessential Madonna; naked, provocative and sexy. Designed by Fabien Baron in collaboration with Madge herself, the scent features top notes of honeysuckle, peach blossom and neroli, mid notes of vanilla orchid and lily and base notes of cedarwood and sandalwood.
RRP: $69/ $89 available March 31st 2013 Myer and David Jones
In my second love of celeb beauty collaborations this week, you really needn’t look far for a star-powered lipstick with staying power. The Rimmel Lasting Matte Finish Lipstick by Kate Moss is a serious gem in a sea of sticky, lack-lustre lippies. It’s glamour made effortless; a velvet touch, sublimely rich and on-trend colours and matte finish that won’t dry out your lips will make this lipstick a staple in your beauty bag. I love that Kate Moss added a touch of the colour reversal of the original design, with a matte red pack and Kate’s embossed signature. Super cute and the six new shades will see you through the autumn/winter season.
RRP: $12.95 Priceline, Priceline Pharmacy, Target, Kmart, BIG W, selected pharmacies and selected Coles and Woolworths.
With the introduction of 50+ UV protection over the summer, anything beauty product that sports the five-oh is bound to catch my eye, and to my delight the Dermalogica Solar Defense Booster SPF50 offers something more. Apart from its stand-out features like Dermalogica’s UV Smart Booster Technology for maximum protection of free radicals, unlike a sunscreen the formula is not chalky or greasy and I can choose to wear it as a primer under makeup, over makeup or just on its own. The powerful vitamin complex ,containing vitamins C and E, provides optimum UV without the need for higher concentrations of sunscreen ingredients that could irritate sensitive skin. Simple and effective –what’s not to love?
RRP: $63 available at salons nationally.
