On Friday morning Sydney’s Pitt Street was swarming with paparazzi hoping to catch a glimpse of the divine Elle Macpherson who was in town to promote sun saviours Invisible Zinc.
We caught an exclusive interview with the super model which you can watch below. We’ve also got the goss from her in-store Myer appearance and a lunch at The Pier that we were lucky enough to attend.

Elle Macpherson is the real deal. When we sat down with ‘The Body’ on Friday morning, we were immediately taken aback by her warmth and beauty. Wearing gorgeous Balmain silver leather pants and a grey top, she smiled and shined as she told us her top beauty tips, tales from the school pick-up that included super friends Claudia Schiffer and about the importance of protecting her skin from the sun. The In-Store Appearance
Sydney-siders showed up in droves to catch a glimpse of the Aussie Supermodel in-store at Pitt Street’s Myer. The golden goddess changed into a slinky Herve Leger dress and walked on stage fashionably late and to the sounds of the crowds cheers and the flashes of media snaps. 47-year-old Elle is clearly a pro after being in the business 30 years. She paused the interview with Melissa Hoyer to let the paparazzi get their shots, smiling and waving at each flash with timed perfection.
Again, Elle stressed how much she wished she’d been told to wear sunscreen. As a teen in the 70’s, she lay out with baby oil catching the rays and later paid her dues with skin cancers that had to be cut out, saying, “If there’s any young girls out there; I wish somebody had told me to start using sunscreen when I was younger ‘cause I grew up in the 70s…and at that time I used to coat my body with baby oil.”
Not one to deny herself the golden glow she loves, Elle now opts for Invisible Zinc’s spray tan and uses their sunscreen daily.
The Lunch
Beauty media gathered at The Pier with Elle and enjoyed a delicious lunch complete with a chocolate desert that even the supermodel tried (but didn’t finish).
The star combined work and play, bringing her sister-in-law and Banjo & Matilda designer Belinda Macpherson, her Mum and her youngest sister Elizabeth along to the lunch.
