London Fashion Week wasn’t the only stylish soiree in town last Tuesday night, with the Elle Magazine Annual Style Awards giving it a serious run for its money.
An incredibly slick fashion-forward celeb crowd turned up to London’s Grand Connaught Rooms to attend the annual awards ceremony to honour the most stylish ambassadors in the film, television and fashion industries.
The Olsen twins, who were named Elle’s Style Icons of 2010 glammed it up in floor-sweeping houte couture. Mary-Kate rocked a black Lanvin gown, while her sis opted for a pretty oyster silk and tulle Christian Lacroix frock.
BAFTA’s Actress of the Year and girl of the moment Carey Mulligan was named Actress of the Year (yet again) by Elle Magazine. The An Education actress opted to go more casual cool than red-carpet ready- by teaming a python jacket by the Olsen twins label The Row, with a black knee-length skirt.
Alexa Chung looked stunning as always, in a powder-blue fine knit Chanel dress, and took home the Elle Editor’s choice award.
Dannii Minogue lit up the room in a canary-yellow Lisa Ho gown, accessorised beautifully with a baby bump, and was presented with the TV Star of the Year Award by sister Kylie.
Supermodel Naomi Campbell was the biggest winner on the night, being honored with the magazine’s Outstanding Contribution prize for not only her 25 years in fashion, but also her work for The White Ribbon Alliance (WRA).
