In the theme of the ‘lady like wife’ as seen at Bottega Veneta, we made our way to Emporio Armani, but instead of demure, we got a daring look into the future, as Armani played with colours and plastic in the form of swimsuits, as well as plastic piping on dresses, sandals and necklaces.
Rather than his signature neutrally coloured palette, we again got eye-catching bright colours, with a mixture of orange and pink party dresses, Hawaiian print swimwear, and aqua combined with fuchsia.
From fuchsia long jackets teamed with short aqua dresses to aqua tops teamed with short, tailored fuchsia shorts, this was a winning colour combination. Party dresses too, were not just vibrantly coloured, but also short and playful, with Perspex belts cinching in the models’ already miniscule waists.
For those who prefer to see the world in black and white and not bright colours, there was also the use of monochrome stripes and polka dots in the form of dresses, shorts and bikinis.
