Rescu. loves bringing you new shopping options – and the latest online shop to hit our shores is a lovely one.
JASU is aiming to be the Australian version of hipper-than-hip boutiques in Europe – take the aesthetic of cutting-edge Belgium and transplant it into Melbourne cool, and you have their designs.
They’ve already picked up the sharpest edge of new Australian fashion, from Dion Lee (fresh from his Woolmark prize win) to Josh Goot, and are shaping up to be the online retailer for the discerning urbanite.
It’s also aiming to be on the forefront of ‘social shopping’ – a closely guarded secret, but one which we imagine involves inspiration from street style blogs, input from social media and a cross-media platform of shopping. It’s retail therapy gone high-tech.
The Aussie online shopping landscape is improving by leaps and bounds, but there is a definitive gap for something which prioritises luxury and couture over convenience and next-day delivery.
JASU is also aiming to bring in taste-makers to contribute content, and will host editorials – like a cross between Net-a-Porter and Vogue.
Will you be trying out the JASU online platform?
