If you’ve ever been caught with a lopsided brow after a home waxing catastrophe, you’re not alone. Our brows are an essential element of facial beauty, but shaping them can be a tricky business. Rescu. caught up with Australian Eyebrow legend Jazz Pampling at Spa & Beauty Expo 2013 to learn her top tips for creating the perfect brow at home.
Jazz has shaped brows for the likes of Naomi Watts, Samantha Harris and for models at L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival so it’s safe to say she knows the brow styles that are hot right now. “A well shaped brow helps to lift and frame features by highlighting subtle lines in the face,’ she says. ‘Women the world over are discovering the importance that brows have, and educating people about this is the focus of my work.”
Watch the video below to discover Jazz’s take on the ‘natural brow’, how to choose the right shape for your face and top tips for plucking and waxing at home (without any disasters).
Jazz’s Top Eyebrow Tips:
1. Any time that you’re uncertain about whether a hair should be plucked or not, don’t pluck it!
2. Use your pinkie finger as a guide when plucking between the brows. Place the finger in the centre between the brows and only remove the hairs that are covered by the finger. No more!
3. If you make a mistake when tweezing, don’t try and balance it out on the other side. Repeating errors for the sake of symmetry only leads to further brow catastrophes. Allow your hairs to grow back, without further plucking.
