Zanita Whittington isn’t the type of woman to look at her career to date — which includes such illustrious pursuits as working with brands like Louis Vuitton, Jimmy Choo and Bergdrof Goodman, building her own profitable blog zanita.com, and starring in the Foxtel reality series Fashion Bloggers TV — and sit back thinking she’s achieved enough.
Zanita Whittington is the type of woman, and entrepreneur, who looks at her career to date and broadens her vision, setting her sites on the bigger, the better, and the more important. And that’s why, in a sea of beautiful bloggers and a fiercely competitive industry, she’s one of the few who will last the distance.
We invited Zanita to the Rescu. couch recently to find out how this Western Australian beauty has cracked the code and built a business from her blog. Watch the video below…
On the early days of blogging: “I loved fashion. I just wanted to share that with people who felt the same way,” says Zanita who started her blog around 7-8 years ago as a hobby,
“There wasn’t a point that I ever went – you know what, I can make a career of this … It was really just totally organic… Today I have a lot more strategy.”
On beauty; “I’m passionate about beauty but I’m terrible at it – I approach it as a journey.” Watch Zanita Whittington in the Beauty Bubble here.
On social media; “I’m really inspired by what’s going on in YouTube … I think Snapchat is next but I think there’s always something that’s going to happen next.” But her girl-crush when it comes to inspiration is Emma Stone who she relates to with fair skin and blue eyes.
On working with her partner; “Together we can take on even more people… I don’t always want to be the face of the business.”
On graceing the cover of Lucky in the United States and international opportunities; “I’ve had the means to expand my sight… and really choose the direction I want to go”
On the future; “My dream would be to have a studio where I can nurture young creatives.”
