Alexa Chung stars in recent Pepe Jeans campaign
Alexa Chung is back with a brand new fashion campaign for Pepe Jeans. After Alexa’s TV show was cancelled, she has taken a step away from being on live TV, and instead has turned to fashion, designing and modelling. The recent Pepe Jeans campaign sees Alexa starring beside Jon Kortajarena, the fashion industry’s latest favourite. Kortajarena recently starred in Tom Ford’s movie A Single Man, and his career has taken off.
Armani Exchange introduce 3-D into their ad campaigns
The latest 3-D craze in the movies has gone to extremes and now fashion labels are also jumping onboard with the new trend. Armani Exchange just launched their first 3-D advertising campaign to appear in the upcoming September issues of GQ, Interview and V magazines. How does it work? The 3-D print campaign will feature in the magazines, accompanied by 3-D glasses for the reader. The whole campaign will also feature a music video and an interactive online component. The brand are hoping that readers will use the 3-D glasses with the magazine to then go online and watch the video and discover the other interactive elements there is to experience.
Gwen Stefani is back in the fashion game
Singer turned designer Gwen Stefani is back with her successful label L.A.M.B, as she returns to the runway at the upcoming Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Lately she has presented her label in private showings, but the designer has decided a runway show is her best bet for the new season. L.A.M.B. will feature at the Lincoln Centre Theatre Venue during MBFW, and we can’t wait to see what Gwen comes up with!
Victoria Beckham branches into handbag design
Victoria Beckham has long been associated with designer fashion, and when she turned to fashion design with her namesake label, it seemed a natural move. Now, with fashion and eyewear collections behind her, she is looking to design handbags. Her rep recently confirmed “there is a bag line in development.” Consultant Katie Hillier, who has come from Marc by Marc Jacobs and Stella McCartney is coming on board to help with the new handbag designs.
