Indigenous Fashion Week
Australian Indigenous Fashion Week is a new event that aims to showcase and support the design talents of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders from across Australia. 2014 is the debut of this unique event, which is set to become an annual fixture on the Australian fashion calendar.
A diverse range of traditional and contemporary designs will grace the runways, with both emerging designers and already established industry names given the chance to parade their talents.
Taking place from 11 to 12 April in 2014, and expanding to a full week event in 2015, AIFW actively seeks to nurture the incredible talents of Australian indigenous designers and artists with mentoring programs, design training and modelling workshops.
