The Olympic Closing Ceremony will feature a British fashion show like no other – with every British supermodel of the past few decades – and Rescu. has a preview.
The United Kingdom won’t leave fashionistas neglected in the Olympic Closing Ceremony.
Rumours have been circulating of an all-star British fashion show, with all the British models who’ve pounded the runways stomping into the Olympic stadium.
Now it looks to be confirmed – with Vogue featuring the cream of the UK crop, including Kate Moss, Lily Cole, Lily Donaldson, Georgia May Jagger and (let’s not forget the boys) David Gandy.
The one thing we’re still unsure about? What they’ll wear.
The Vogue shoot features all-British designers, from an all-gold voluminous dress by Alexander McQueen’s head designer Sarah Burton to Paul Smith and Victoria Beckham designs.
And in true Olympic style, every piece is bright vivid gold.
However, as much as we’d like to believe this is the big preview of the night, it’s more likely that Danny Boyle, the director of the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, will outfit the supermodels at his disposal with things that are slightly more likely to stand out in a stadium.
We guarantee, though, that the results will be British-designed. Are you excited to see the fashion flavour of the Closing Ceremony?

Victoria Beckham has pulled off one of the greatest fashion turnarounds in recent history, from laughable Spice Girl to one of the most respected modern womenswear designers worldwide.
However, she tells US Glamour it came at a price.
Beckham’s notorious unsmiling demeanour is, she says, her ‘armour’ – and it developed because she felt she had to be serious for the fashion world.
She insists she is happy – but that she pouts permanently in photographs to look professional, and that she doesn’t like her smile.
In other Victoria Beckham news, she’s launched herself into the car design arena, consulting for Range Rover on their latest SUV as a ‘style consultant’.
She is also launching a glasses range to conquer her own embarrassment about wearing spectacles.
And she’s hinted to Twitter followers that she and her fellow Spice Girls may perform at the Closing Ceremony, by tweeting a picture of a glitter-encrustedm microphone.
A world-famous designer who’s also comfortable strutting around onstage singing Wannabe? Rescu. loves VB – even if she never cracks a grin.
