July is shaping up to be a spectacular month for food and wine fans (let’s face it, all of us!) as Peruvian food trucks roam the streets of Sydney, a wine school at Surry Hill’s renowned The Winery is launched and the gargantuan lineups for the Margaret River Gourmet Escape has been announced.
Peru on the Road
Much loved Peruvian restaurant and pisco bar Morena will be launching a food truck ‘Peru on the Road’ to give Sydney-siders a taste of the vibrant street culture of Peru.
To celebrate 50 years of Australian and Peruvian diplomatic relations, as well as the Anniversary of the Independence Day of Peru, Moreno executive chef Alejandro Saravia will roll out a food truck in Wynyard Park from Monday 22nd July to Tuesday 23rd July.
Saravia is aiming to bring the ‘party on the streets’ culture of Peru to Sydney, with a mobile art exhibition, music and a jarana (Peruvian style street party).
What’s more, you’ll be able to track the movement of ‘Peru on the Road’ using the Sydney Food Trucks app at sydneyfoodtrucks.com.au
With a menu including Anticuchos de Alpaca, Pork Chicarrón, Quinoa Salad and Arozz con Leche, Moreno is set to recreate an authentic and unique Peruvian party experience!
