New York Fashion Week A/W 2012 is not only playing host to the most exciting (and wearable!) of the country’s top designers, it also welcomes A-list celebrities and fashionistas to exclusive front row seating. Find out who was watching who in the opening shows!
So many shows, so little time! British TV Presenter and ‘It Girl’ Alexa Chung looked adorable as took in The Honor show wearing an understated navy coat and sixties style round toe shoes. She then arrived at the Jason Wu show in a neutral grey outfit, complete with pleated skirt, cute metallic collar and platform heels.
Hollywood new-comer, Shailene Woodley ‘s turn in Oscar-nominated film ‘The Descendants’ with George Clooney is sure to get her more invites to shows like The Honor, which she attended yesterday in a printed shirt and jeans.
Mary-Kate Olsen , who’s own label The Row, which she runs with her twin sister Ashley, will be showing later this season, stuck to her customary head-to-toe black to watch the BCBG Max Azria show from a front row made of Pepsi cans.
Also due to show her latest collection later in the week, designer and star of ‘The City’ Whitney Port got comfy on the padded front row of the Gen Art show. And another ‘City’ star, American socialite, model and actress, Olivia Palermo kept warm at the Peter Som show in a rugged fur gilet and Seventies-style blue denim.
Model Erin Wasson takes a break from the catwalk to watch the BCBG Max Azria show in her typical laid-back style of baggy jeans and a boyfriend jacket.
The Leila Shams show had plenty of star power as Brazilian model Camila Alves adds a splash of neon to her deco-style mini-dress. model Jessica White was also flexing her fashion muscles in a shining gold jumpsuit and actress Vanessa Hudgens arrived to watch Leila Shams in a chic black ensemble.
