Rescu. brings you a sneak peek of a collaboration from fashion heaven – Garance Dore and fashion heavyweight Kate Spade.
Sometimes a fashion pairing is so perfect you wonder why it hasn’t happened before.
Garance Dore, Parisienne photographer, illustrator and partner of Sartorialist Scott Schumann, has just released a capsule with sought-after designer Kate Spade.
And the results are delightful.
Dore’s signature whimsical doodles are all over crisp on-trend Peter Pan shirts, dresses and sweaters. It’s all very 50s, a key fashion tone at the moment.
The prints themselves are garnering the most attention – preppy, fetching designs that fit perfectly into the print-mad trend.
And the palette – mustards and blues – is the sort of classic underpinning that works brilliantly for autumn and winter.
Dore was originally an illustrator, but is more famous nowadays as a blogger, and is one of the current faces of Net-a-Porter, wearing a Stella McCartney dress in the ads.
Who says you need to wear dark colours when the weather gets dim? We say get a hold of a Dore-Spade collaboration and be on-trend city chic.
Just layer with tights and fantastic boots for a great transitional look.
What do you think of the Dore-Spade collaboration?
