George Clooney was mysteriously absent from this year’s Oscars, and many have speculated as to what could have been more alluring than film’s biggest night of the year. It seems the answer is his new love interest, beautiful British barrister, Amal Alamuddin.
Although his film Gravity won seven awards, George Clooney was reportedly in London at the time of the awards, spending time with Alamuddin, with whom he has recently been linked.
Rumours of a romance between George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin have been circulating since it was reported that the serial modelizer took Alamuddin to the White House for a special private screening of his new film Monuments Men, along with Clooney’s own parents and President Barak Obama.
Alamuddin knows what it’s like to circulate amongst the elite – she is currently representing Julian Assange, WikiLeaks founder and US foreign policy critic.
The couple were also sited cosying up at a the Willard Hotel bar after the screening along with Matt Damon and Bill Murray, both close friends of George Clooney’s, and stars of Monuments Men. ‘They looked very much together,’ said an onlooker. ‘George had his arm around her and she appeared to be a girlfriend.’
