The beauty looks from London Fashion Week 2012 keep getting better and now you can get the ‘handsome beauty’ of Antonio Berardi and the Mongolian inspired outdoorsy look from Vivienne Tam at home!
WHO: Revlon Global Artistic Director, Gucci Westman & UK Nail Ambassador Jenny Longworth
WHERE: Backstage at Antonio Berardi
WHAT: Revlon Global Artistic Director, Gucci Westman, played on the inspiration for Antonio Berardi’s A/W12 collection – a modern Angie Bowie – by pairing a sultry wet-look eye with an invitingly luscious bitten lip to create a polished, chic look all about ‘handsome’ beauty.
“I wanted the makeup to have an element of sophistication but still be fresh,” says Westman. “I contrasted the graphicness of the hair with a handsome yet softened makeup look. A glossy lid, contoured eye socket and bitten lip blend together over the sheerness of the skin to create a youthful ‘realness’ and statuesque beauty.”
Revlon UK Nail Ambassador, Jenny Longworth, referenced the gothic, androgynous elements of Antonio Berardi’s collection
. “Antonio Berardi’s collection features a striking teal shade and has a sculptural theme throughout. This inspired me to create the ‘modern moon’ – an update on the 1920’s half moon manicure, working with a dark shade of teal to pay tribute to the Shakespeare’s Sister referencing.”

WHO: Revlon Global Artistic Director, Gucci Westman, backstage at Vivienne Tam
WHAT: Revlon Global Artistic Director, Gucci Westman, paired a sultry eye highlighted by rich earth tones with a supple lip and flushed cheeks for Vivienne Tam’s Fall 2012 collection, bringing forth the designer’s vision of an outdoorsy girl on a Mongolian journey.
“I used a monotone palette of colours for the entire look and blended beautiful bronze and pinks to create a perfectly flushed cheek. To give the eyes a bit of a pop, I layered different shades of brown and khaki, but opted for no mascara to make the colors really stand out,” says Westman. “To compliment the eyes, I kept the lip very subtle and added just a touch of shine.”
