Are celebrity blow dry bars the new celebrity fragrance? After celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe opened her DreamDry bar with a huge 1000 appointments in its first week, Gwyneth Paltrow has reportedly expressed her interest in getting a piece of the blow dry pie and we’re wondering whether this is just the beginning of a blow-out trend.
The star and her long-time trainer Tracy Anderson are teaming up with David Babaii to launch the salon which will be attached to Anderson’s studio in Brentwood, California. The trainer told Cosmopolitan.com, “As our members transform themselves in to the women and men they want to be, the David Babaii team will design a hairstyle customized for their face shape and lifestyle.” The salon will also sell products from the David Babaii haircare line and stylists will offer a product regime in addition to their blowdry.
Rumour has it, this is just the beginning of Gwyn’s new empire – a source told US Weekly that the star is essentially building a mini-mall including Tracy Anderson’s gym, the blow dry bar, a healthy restaurant with Mario Barali and a nail salon.
Sounds good to us!
After Ellen DeGeneres wooed her Sydney fans with her live show, she and wife Portia de Rossi boarded a plane for Melbourne and got set to continue their Aussie tour. Although the stars disappointed Geelong residents by cancelling their trip to the regional area due to their trip being cut short, they did manage to make a stop at Portia’s old stomping ground, Melbourne Girls Grammar, and spent about an hour on the grounds filming segments for The Ellen Show and another touring the premises, addressing pupils on the PA system and taking questions during a science class!
After this visit and a few commitments, the talk-show queen headed to Birrarung Marr where she filmed another live show which included Jessica Mauboy, who also appeared on stage in Sydney.
With a huge and incredibly enthusiastic crowd in front of her, Ellen said, “We have done a few outdoor shows – we did one with Beyonce in Central Park. We have had more people here than Central Park , more than Sydney – I love you all” before an emotional Portia took the stage to say, “Melbourne has made me so proud.”
Since Miley Cyrus was spotted sans wedding ring and Liam Hemsworth spent most of the month in Australia, all signs have pointed to splitsville for the engaged couple. However, all may not be as it seems, with the couple reportedly trying to work things out and get their wedding back on track.
A source told E! News that the pair have, “… some serious problems going on, but seeing them together, they do genuinely love each other and they really do want to work it out.”
The source revealed that Liam’s trip was, “…a way for them to figure out what they wanted to do and have time to think for themselves.”
Meanwhile, the Liam was spotted at Miley’s house over the weekend and the signs seem to be turning back to Wedding Way.
