When it comes to the beauty of the lip, Christian Dior hits the nail on the head, “Colour is essential to beauty. Lipstick is a fashion accessory.”
I was introduced Dior Addict Be Iconic gloss fronted by the model with the traffic-stopping pout, Daphne Groeneveld (and rightly so), ahead of fashion week, so while many of us don’t step out daily in designer couture you can always get your high fashion fix from a striking lip with high volume gloss.
Here’s how you can emulate (my favourite) lip looks inspired by the Christian Dior haute couture show:
Diablotine:
“Something much more avant garde and special. This is for the girl who wants to stand out and play around with color and makeup. It’s basically all four shades of lipsticks with Diablotine dapped on the center of the bottom lip. This keeps the lips comfortable while still achieving a high shine.”
Prep lips with a lip balm/conditioner to create a perfectly moist palette.
On half of the top lip on your right, apply a red-orange lipstick
On the left half apply this lipstick.
On half of the bottom lip on your right apply a sugary pink lipstick.
On the left half Rescu. recommends applying Spring Ball lipstick
On bottom lip, apply a red-orange gloss.
Rescu. Loves: Get the nail polish colours ot match your fave lip looks from the Dior be Iconic collection. i’m seriously impressed with the Shallac-like top coat for long lasting shine and curved effect.
Spring Ball:
“Use a pink lip pencil. The color in the center adds a kind of highlight and contrast of color. Dab a little gloss on the bottom lip only. This makes the gloss very wearable and less textured for comfort.”
Prep lips with a lip balm/conditioner to create a perfectly moist palette.
Using a pink lip pencil, completely line and fill the lips, leaving the center of both the top and bottom bare.
On top, layer a coral-red lipstick
For the 3D effect, apply Rescu. recommends Spring Ball lip gloss to the center of bottom lip.
