“The inspiration for the hair plays on the character of a Woodstock hippie. Very floaty, relaxed and worn-in, the look slight personalised for each model,” described Redken Hair Director Alex Grahl backstage at the show.
The flowing, beautiful locks draped over models shoulders and each style was a little different, designed to suit the natural movement and texture of each model’s hair. Both centre and side parts were both used with waves and curls to highlight and frame the different features of the face.
How to recreate the look:
1. Apply Redken Touch Control 05 through the roots, lengths and ends of towel dried hair. For extra volume at the roots, spray Redken Rootful 06.
Follow a natural parting in the centre or to the side and then blow dry using a large radial brush.
2. Take large random sections of hair and using straightening irons, create an s-wave by curling the hair vertically.
Release and spray with Redken Forceful 23 to set. Repeat over the entire head of hair.
3. Relax curls and shape the s-wave by brushing with a soft brush.
For extra volume, lift and texture, use Redken Style Connection Wool Shake 08 on fine hair or Redken Wax Blast 10 on thick hair. Work through and shake with fingers.
