Former neighbours star Holly Valance married millionaire Nick Candy in LA over the weekend.
The couple indulged in an extravagant fairytale like wedding estimated to have cost 2.5 million dollars on the one day.
They exchanged vows in the garden of a friend’s luscious Beverley Hills home.
Yet the celebrations were in fact spread over 4 days with Candy first hosting a party at Soho House in LA on Thursday night, followed up by an official welcome party on the Friday at Paramount Studios, the wedding then took place on Saturday and a recovery barbeque and pool party was held on Sunday.
Valance’s 39-year-old groom topped the celebrations off by hiring Katy Perry as their wedding singer, which is understood to have approximately cost around £1.2 million for a brief 45-minute set.
With what seemed like a limitless budget the 29-year-old bride could have picked any designer to create her wedding dress but chose to stick to her Australian roots opting for Melbourne designer J’Aton.
J’Aton created a full meringue-style ruffled skirt and a lace bodice-like top for the dress with an exaggerated lace veil and dark-red bouquet completing Valance’s wedding day look.
Three hundred relatives and friends were invited, including Sir Elton John, Simon Cowell and former Neighbours co-star Stephanie McIntosh, who was one of Valance’s bridesmaids.
Guests were told that instead of gifts, donations should be made to Disability Rights International or Alzheimer’s Research.
The pair became engaged last December while on holiday in the Maldives. Candy had staff write ‘Will You Marry Me?’ in fire on the sand and proposed to Valance with an extravagant pear-shaped diamond ring.

Natalie Portman has reportedly been approached by Fox Searchlight to star in “Jackie”, a drama that centres on First Wife Jackie Kennedy in the immediate aftermath of US President John F. Kennedy’s assassination in 1963.
Portman’s “Black Swan” director, Darren Aronofsky, and his ex-fiancé Rachel Weisz were originally involved with the project but both have since dropped out.
According to Deadline, Aronofsky and Weisz – who dated from 2002 to 2010 – were planning to make the film when they were a couple but decided they could not go through with the production after they had split.
Prior to leaving the film Weisz told MTV in 2010: ”It’s a very beautiful script. I think it’s the four or five days after the assassination and how [Jackie] deals with the assassination and the funeral. It’s not a biopic. Its about that short period of time.”
Steven Spielberg has also been linked to the movie, but it still remains unknown which director will pick up where Aronofsky left off.
Katie Holmes, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Blair Brown and Jaclyn Smith have all previously played the character Jackie.
If the rumours are true, do you think Natalie Portman would make a good first wife?
