L’oreal Professional Steampod – This hair styling genius may just be the gizmo that breaks my weekly trip to the hair salon habit. Well almost! The technology is clever and makes you wonder why no one thought of this before. Instead of styling just with heat and ceramic plates, The Steam Pod has a chamber where you add water and literally steam infuse your locks as you straighten or curl. When hair is treated with steam, each hair shaft is infused with hydration and the end result is less frizz (yes bizarrely that’s what happens when your hair doesn’t seek out moisture from the environment because is is already hydrated), super shine and dare I say it, better condition. Only a fraction bigger and heavier than the latest generation of heat styling tools, I was flooded with compliments on my shine, bounce and it lasted. A good 3 days! Definitely heading to Noosa with me this Christmas.

Rimmel 9 in 1 BB Cream – If you haven’t yet found the right BB cream for your beauty kit, this might just be the answer. Apart from the usual promise of light to medium coverage, luminosity, disguising imperfections and great hydration, the clever cats at Rimmel added spf 25 protection. Ahhhh genius! BB creams are perfect for day time use and a dream product for busy ladies hoping to cut a few steps out of their routine. Of course the addition of a serious spf was the missing link. Look no further. Great glow, reasonable coverage and now super duper protection.
