Mid-May marks the start of the film industries most revered and swanky soirees: The Cannes Film Festival.
Held in picturesque Cannes, France, the 12 day festival pays tribute to the diverse community of international film making, as hundreds of movies compete against each other to take out the top prize: Palme d’Or.
But our favourite part of the whole she-bang is the A-list attendees and of course, the red carpet fashion… and thankfully, Hollywood’s leading ladies did not disappoint!
So far at the prestigious red carpet affairs we’ve spotted the lovely Kate Beckinsale in a stunning strapless blue Marchesa gown, Salma Hayek in a jaw-dropping maroon Gucci couture frock, Eva Longoria Parker in a stark white Emilio Pucci chiffon number complete with train, and Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai in a blue Elie Saab Couture gown.
Representing Australia in style, our own lovely leading ladies upped the fashion stakes, with Naomi Watts dressed in pretty pleated pink Gucci, Cate Blanchett in Alexander McQueen, and Natalie Imbruglia in a slinky champagne Alberta Ferretti gown.
Also spotted looking demure and oh so lovely at the ‘Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps’ Cannes photo call was An Education’s Carey Mulligan in a figure hugging navy RM by Roland Mouret Pazeau dress.
As Cannes kicks on for another 6 days, we say bring on more show-stopping gowns, A-list faces and hot after-party gossip!
