It’s all about families in Hollywood at the moment with yet another pregnancy announcement, Oprah’s much anticipated family secret and the Olsen twins baby sister having a go at the fame game!
Ivanka Trump’s Baby Bump
We can hardly keep up with all the celeb pregnancy announcements that have been made already this year and now we’ve got another one. Ivanka Trump, daughter of billionaire Donald Trump, announced via Twitter on Friday that she is pregnant saying, “I have been wanting to share some amazing news with you all for some time. I’m pregnant!”
The 29 year old and her husband Jared Kushner wed in October 2009 and Ivanka says they couldn’t be more excited that they’re expecting.
Oprah’s Big Secret
Last week Australian favourite Oprah announced that she would be spilling a huge family secret on her show, leaving us and millions of other fans on the edge of their seats.
The show aired in America just yesterday and the media mogul introduced the world to her long-lost half sister Patricia.
As Patricia and Oprah revealed, when Oprah was nine years old and living with her father, her mother, Vernita Lee, had a daughter who was given up for adoption. This daughter, Patricia, lived in a series of foster homes until age seven when she was then adopted. She said her childhood was difficult, driving her to try to find her birth mother at age 20. She quickly gave up but resumed the search a few years ago and, after a long search and a DNA test, discovered Vernita was her biological mother, making Oprah her half sister.
During the show Oprah interviewed her sister and mother who very publicly told the world their story.
The New Olsen
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s sister Elizabeth is earning her stripes at this year’s Sundance film festival.
The younger Olsen stars in two films set to premiere at the indie film festival, Silent House and Martha Marcy May Marlene, both of which have been described as dark, gritty and tackling tough topics. It seems she’s come a long way from her short appearances in her sister’s tween films. Twenty-one year old Elizabeth studied acting in high school then attended New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and quickly landed herself these edgy roles. We can’t wait to hear the reviews!
