What: Water Polo by the Sea
Proving men can look good in budgie smugglers (no thanks to Tony Abbott), Water Polo by the Sea is the perfect opportunity for a good perve, and, um, some fun competition! This year the event returns to Bondi Icebergs, with the world’s best players flying in to compete against our very own Aussie team. Meet the players, mingle with VIPs and sip on a cocktail by the water all in the name of sport!

What: IMB Sunset Cinema
Some pretty fantastic movies get released this time of year, so it’s a shame to be cooped up inside a movie theatre. The solution to this dilemma is outdoor cinema. Screening new release films as well as some classics, the IMB Sunset Cinema aims to please with beanbags, bars and gourmet food. Better than a traditional movie theatre, if you ask us!

What: Food Truck Fridays
The first Friday of every month sees a congregation of food trucks gather in Belmore Park to serve a whole host of delicious street food. The event is an initiative by the City of Sydney to liven up Sydney’s nightlife, and is the perfect way to while away a lazy Friday night while capitalising on the food truck trend that has hit the streets recently.

What: Modern Love: Fashion Visionaries from the FIDM Museum in LA
A selection of some of the world’s greatest fashion designers from the past 40 years appear in the Bendigo Gallery. Every fashion lover’s dream, the exhibition features garments from the post-punk era all the way up to modern clothes. It explores the role fashion plays in our contemporary lives, and featres designs from luminaries like Chanel, Alexander McQueen, Prada, Vivienne Westwood and more.

What: St Jerome’s Laneway Festival

What: Roy Lichenstein: Pop Remix
The renowned Pop artist’s work from the 1950’s to the 1990’s is explored in Roy Lichenstein: Pop Remix. Known for re-appropriating classics from Monet to Ernst, the exhibition features his famous comics and nudes — regarded as some of the best works from the Pop movement.
