It’s pretty standard for celebs to take an entourage with them everywhere but Jay-Z’s out-done himself in the super-star stakes by bringing not only his wife Beyonce Knowles but also Kanye West down under.
The group arrived in Australia last weekend and spent some time in Melbourne’s prestigious Crown Towers. Reportedly, Kanye and Jay-Z were also getting some work in the studio done for their highly anticipated collaborative album.
Whilst in Melbourne, doting wife Beyonce threw an extravagant birthday party for her husband. The party of ten dressed in Victorian-themed outfits for the festivities that started in a VIP suite at Silk Road. No expense was spared for the rapper’s 41st birthday with his own champagne, Aces of Spades, being flown in for the event! After the party, on Sunday morning the group took a horse-drawn carriage tour of Melbourne city.
The happy couple then moved onto Queensland where they were spotted enjoying a lavish seafood lunch at Marina Mirage complex in Main Beach. Beyonce looked every bit the diva in a yellow two-piece accessorised with YSL pimps and a black spiked Hermes Bag.
Jay-Z will also be joining in on Oprah’s Australian show with Hugh Jackman, Nicole Kidman and Cate Blanchett. Word is he will be performing for the audience!
Meanwhile, Kanye West and a female companion were spotted on Sydney’s Glenmore Road just yesterday. The controversial star must love our shores; he’s back only a few months since visiting to promote his film Runaway. And who can blame him?
It seems Australia’s the place to be for stars this week and we couldn’t be happier!
