Since their engagement, Jennifer Hawkins and Jake Wall had been very hush-hush about their wedding and despite the media’s best attempts, nothing – not even the date – was revealed until after the pair had walked down the aisle.
With the Bali wedding said and done, everyone was waiting to hear about all the details of Jen’s dress but nothing was to be revealed until Women’s Day, who purchased the rights to the wedding album for a huge sum, brought out the wedding exclusive issue.
Usually out on a Monday, the mag must have pulled quite a few late nights this week because the issue hit shelves today and all the details of the chic Bali ceremony have been revealed…
Jen’s strapless gown was designed by Melbourne-based Myer favourite Toni Maticevski and, although she intended to change into a shorter, more relaxed party dress after the cutting of the cake, Jen reported the dress was so comfortable that she left it on for the remainder of the evening.
Sydney based hair style Keiren Street of Valonz Salon was in charge of the beautiful bride’s simple out-do and make-up artist Liz Kelsh was on hand to create the natural beauty look.
The intimate affair took place at Semora Uluwatu in Bali in from of just 60 guests – all of whom were flown to the destination wedding. Check out Women’s Day for more details on Jen and Jake’s big day.
Carey Mulligan has been everywhere lately thanks to her starring role in The Great Gatsby and it seems her moment is far from over.
The gorgeous star, who we all agree made the perfect Daisy in Gatsby, is rumoured to be the front-runner to play former US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton in the highly-anticipated biopic about her early years.
The film, titled Rodham, is an indie offering about Clinton’s time as a young law graduate in the 1970s. It will, of course, chronicle her time as Bill Clinton’s girlfriend.
Mulligan is said to be in competition with other starlets Scarlett Johansson, Jessica Chastain, Emma Stone, and Jennifer Lawrence. Who do you think would make the best Hillary Clinton?
Although still in his teens, Justin Bieber has travelled to places many people never experience in a lifetime but now he’s going one step up… the pop star and his manager Scooter Braun are the latest celebs to sign on for a trip in to space on Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic mission!
Biebs joins Leonardo DiCaprio and Ashton Kutcher in the list of names confirmed to head in to space with Branson. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie and Beyonce and Jay Z are also rumoured to be heading in to space.
And in case you’re thinking of joining them, know that taking part in the mission doesn’t come cheap – the big names have paid a reported US$250,000 each to join the mission.
Sydney-siders who aren’t escaping the city this long weekend had best get their binoculars out and their best stalking shoes on… Brad Pitt is headed for our shores to promote his latest film World War Z.
The Hollywood heavyweight is set to touch down on Australian soil Sunday morning for the Australian premiere of the zombie movie which is taking place Sunday evening at The Star.
Word is still out on whether or not partner Angelina Jolie will be joining Brad but it looks less than likely at this stage.
Good luck Brad spotting, ladies!
